» Is it true that your gpa does not transfer, just your credits, when you transfer colleges?
i thought everything transferred but my mom said that only your credits transfers, your grades do not, so your gpa resets basically...is this true?I think it depends on the school you are transferring to.When I transferred, my credits came but not the GPA - it started over. Friends who have transferred had the same experience, so it's probably universal.gpa change pending on how the schools calculate gpa. I had a 3.5 out of uhcl and 3.1 transferring into uh central. the latter dropped classes from my community college while the other accepted some c grade classes. your gpa will only reset back to nothing if u are going to a start a new degree plan so different that it doesn't accept any of your prior course work. There are tw...... - 2009-07-04
» Will debt settlements damage your credit?
Actually, yes. You are not paying as agreed. However, it's better to pay it than not to. As it ages off your score will go up, if you rebuild your credit too. What you need to know about debt settlement firms: Your credit card companies are not going to offer you settlements like 50%, for example, if you are current (not behind) on your payments. If credit card companies offered settlements to people who are current on their payments, then everyone would be calling them up and asking for 50% settlements. Basically, the only way you can get into a position to negotiate settlements is to deliberately let your accounts go into default. This is exactly what debt settlement firms do....They take a monthly amount from you and use tha...... - 2009-07-04
» I'm worried about my lungs?
Well, I'm 14, I don't smoke, actually can't stand the smell of smoke because it makes my breathing completely messed up. Sometimes, when I lay down I can't breath anymore like when I sleep, I don't snore... Certain fabrics like Polyester or something like that really stop my breathing process. And my lungs hurt a lot, specialy the one with my heart in it! My mom tells me that it's from the sport I do, but I'm still very worried... Should I consult a doctor, does anybody else know something about this...?? » Have you bought a star or know anyone who has?
i found some sites where you can buy a star.. have you bought a star and would you recomend a good site to buy one from. tell me how much you paid and what you got for your moneyThis is a scam. The only body which can officially name astronomical bodies is the International Astronomical Union, and they don't name stars. They name planets, comets, asteroids, and surface features on planets. Stars nowadays are primarily known by catalog numbers. There are companies which will take your money and claim to name stars on your behalf, but such names have no official standing and will not be used by astronomers. When you get a new cube that you haven't worked in yet (played with it alot, alot, alot), then the springs are still kind of stiff (lubricating your cube doesn't unstiffen then springs, only reduces the friction on the gliding pieces). Should I be able to return to my old High School even if I will be over 18, and re-enroll and continue there? I currently attend their Alternative School, but I would like to return where I can academically flourish. no you should have to follow the same rules as everyone else which is no tolerance you commit a crime you are punished.I don't see why you couldn't if you have met all their conditions. Our website is www.sanjuans.tv...FOR EXAMPLE we would like John Q Public to begin browsing and be looking for The San Juan Islands & hopefully our website would pop up. Why isn't this happening ?Hi there, You need to make your website more search engine spider friendly. When the spider from Google, Altavista etc visits your site, at present they won't find anything. As beautiful as your site is, as far as a search engine spider is concerned, it contains zero content. Search engines cannot read the text within an image. Hat-tip to russell family! 11/3/06 8:15 AM Many workers fear losing jobs if flu pandemic strikes By Bill Leonard Nearly one-fourth of working Americans say they probably would lose their job or business if forced to stay home for seven to 10 days during a severe flu pandemic, according to a study (http://www.hsph.harvard.edu/panflu/IOM_Avian_flu.ppt) released on Oct. 27 by the Harvard School of Public Health. http://www.shrm.org/hrnews_published/graphics/CMS_019080-1.gif The study found that most U.S. citizens would cooperate during the early stages of a pandemic or health emergency. Hi, I am close to purchasing my first DSLR. I am trying to figure out whether I should buy a used unit or a new unit. Has anyone here had good/bad experiences buying used? What should I be looking for when I go and see the unit? Any help with this would be great. I have found someone selling a Nikon D80 with a 24-120 VR lens for $750CDN. Seems like a pretty good deal to me, thoughts? Does anyone have any knowledge about the lens? » How can I get out of credit card debt?
I have so much credit card debt and I really need help, and I cant afford to pay more then just the minimum amount each month, since my monthly income is only 1,800...any suggests please!Well, you either have to increase your income, decrease your expenses, or both. Call each of the debts and try to get the interest lowered. Then decrease your expenses. Don't eat out. Get rid of the cable. Get rid of the cell phone. Etc. Then, make the minimum payments on each debt. On the one with the lowest balance, put all your extra money to it. When you pay it off (which should happen quickly if you truly dive in) then take all the money you were paying to that debt and start paying it to the next lowest balance. » Tragic French Songs From the Turn of the Century
In the liner notes of a classical/opera CD I bought there was a catalogue listing of a CD of tragic French songs or ballads from the Belle Epoque. The title was very specific and I have looked on Amazon.com, France and Canada, also many classical label catalogues that are online and spent hours researching. Pls help. :)h2olily - When you say the title was "very specific," do you mean only that "Belle Epoque" was part of the CD's title, or do you remember other specific words from the title, like "tragic." markj-gaWhat I mean by specific is that the title described the contents of the CD and was not flowery.h2olily -- Since you explored Amazon.com, I assume that you came across a straightforwardly named CD by Susan Graham called...... - 2009-07-04

» FileReference OnComplete is not returned
Hi, The last few days I'm struggling to get a file-upload working. My testfiles worked fine but since I embedded the file-upload into a bigger project it's not working the way I would like it to. I'm using the fileReference class (and PHP) to upload and the file acutally gets uploaded into the directory I want it to, but the onComplete-method never shows up in my Flash-movie (neither is the onProgress for that matter). This is very annoying because I need it to fire other scripts if the upload succeeded. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that the swf that handles the upload is loaded into another swf using the MovieClipLoader class. Does anybody know how this onComplete-method works with an swf loaded into another swf? I mean...... - 2009-07-04

Avian flu still spreading quietly in Burma http://english.dvb.no/news.php?id=6879 Apr 18, 2006 (DVB) Although Burma’s veterinary department recently insisted that avian flu was under firm control, a Burmese vet who doesn’t want to be named, told DVB that the deadly disease is still spreading quietly to small chicken farms in Sagaing and Mandalay Divisions in central Burma. The disease is particularly spreading in periphery areas such as Mandalay Kwet Thit Ward and the border areas of Amarapura Township, the vet said. As some bigger chicken farms are worried that their farms will be destroyed if smaller farms around them are reported of the outbreak of the disease, there have been cases of bigger farms bribing smaller farms not to repo...... - 2009-07-04

is it neccesray for the nitrogenous bases to join to sugar in DNA/RNA?cant it join to the phosporic acid?If you look at the chemical structure there is no where for the base to bond. The P at any point in the chain is surrounded by 4 oxygen, and it would be too hard for P to make any more bonds.Yes.. Taylor is right.. to form the nucleotide local dehydration has to occur. The sugar is able to bond both nitrogenous base and phosphate because it has an -OH group in two different positions that can bond to phosphateon one side and base on other side, without causing too much of steric hinderance ...... - 2009-07-04

I think it would be more discreet to order this online, but that's up to you, of course. If you really want to buy locally, don't go to a regular drug store. Try going to one that is also a home health supplier (the same kind of place that sells wheelchairs, respirators, and other medical supplies for use at home). You can find places like this in the yellow pages of the phone book, or search online for "medical supplies toledo." As a guess, you might want to check out Wright and Filippis. » Looking to start simple 35mm neg scanning business
I was looking to start a simple, local only, word of mouth, 35mm negative scanning business. It would be cheap simple scanning. I've put the word out with some friends and family. My angle is cheap digitizing of your old photos one roll at a time. Safe storage, able to reproduce high quality prints, no degredation over time, etc. I'm just doing a feeler now I put up a simple web page only. My price schedule is WAY cheap, again I'm just starting up so I want to see if there's any interest and it won't be my primary source of income. I'm going to charge $1 per 35mm film strip. If there is enough interest I was going to purchase a Nikon Coolscan V (LS-50) to do the work, all the other equipment (lightscribe dvd burner etc.) and softwar...... - 2009-07-04

Six nurses fall ill with measles Hundreds of hospital staff are being vaccinated against measles after six nurses contracted the disease. The outbreak at the Central Middlesex Hospital in north-west London began after two children were admitted with measles last week. Hospital visitors from the past few weeks who are feeling feverish are advised to contact their GP. A hospital spokesman said: "Two children had measles and it seems the staff caught it from them. In October I will take a trip to the mountains, hoping to get some shots of the leaves changing, and some wildlife. I have never used slide film, but the advantages of Velvia for this type photography is tempting. I have always wanted to try slide film, but I understand that it is less forgiving than negative film, and processing is more expensive. Is there that much difference in quality between slide film, and say something like Kodak High Definition negative film. For now, I think I will take two camera's, the digital for back up, and make the transition to Velvia in the 35mm. And so let the learning process begin. Lombardi didn't accept losing! Phillips seems to accept it way to easy! Phillips seems to do more excuse making then coaching or inspiring! The D40 is a VERY popular entry-level DSLR. It's going to be a black & white photo as well.Try mixing water and corn-flour to make a thin paste - I remember making fake blood for halloween costumes like this when I was a kid. Food colouring should mix well in it, and as you're shooting in black+white, you could probably get away with having it dark red or blue instead of black - unless you can get black food colouring...Chocolate syrup? Maybe with something added?Chocolate syrup? That's what I ...... - 2009-07-04

i thought everything transferred but my mom said that only your credits transfers, your grades do not, so your gpa resets basically...is this true?I think it depends on the school you are transferring to.When I transferred, my credits came but not the GPA - it started over. Friends who have transferred had the same experience, so it's probably universal.gpa change pending on how the schools calculate gpa.

The disease is particularly spreading in periphery areas such as Mandalay Kwet Thit Ward and the border areas of Amarapura Township, the vet said. » Explanation for the structure of bases in DNA/RNA?
is it neccesray for the nitrogenous bases to join to sugar in DNA/RNA?cant it join to the phosporic acid?If you look at the chemical structure there is no where for the base to bond.

I couldn't agree more with your opinion!!!He's not a bad coach...but what the Cowboys need is for Jerry Jones to back off and take his over bearing approach to the team and shelf it. The D40 is a VERY popular entry-level DSLR.
